I can read ya mind sistah ! “Now what? She is going to teach us how to make tea?? You gotta be kidding me ! ” I pretty much belong to your tribe and make no mistake, I can become pretty nasty if someone messes up with my Cuppa. Making bad tea is the ultimate sacrilege for me. I never, ever, ever, ever (read Arnab style) let anyone make tea for me because I am arrogant enough to think that I make the best tea in the world. You can ask my family and friends and they will stand testimony to this !
OK, so when I came across an OPOS recipe to make Dum tea, you can only imagine my reaction. I just shook my head in disbelief and moved on. However, the people in the forum kept ohhh ing and ahhh ing about how deep the flavors turn out. And now slowly I got seduced into trying the Dum tea recipe. Here it is,
You will need these ingredients apart from tea leaves and sweetner of choice
Cook at 1100 W for exactly 1 whistle (3 minutes) and release pressure manually. Strain and serve.
I have to say this tea totally knocked my socks off ! The flavors are sealed intact and is the perfect cuppa I have ever made. I taught this to my nephew and this is the only way he knows to make tea now.
